The Returning Officer has received a petition from ten local government electors in each of the Dial Park and Offerton Hall wards requesting that a bye-election be held in respect of the current vacancies. Residents should note that the Parish Operative will no longer be operating from a motor vehicle and will instead use a dandy cart to provide street cleaning services in the Parish. The move has been prompted by the increase in time being spent dealing with fly-tipping and refuse advancement for which the operative should not be responsible.

Representatives from the Parish and Offerton School visited Dodge City between 3-7 April in a bid to forge closer relationships with the famous town and to build on the existing friendship agreement between Stockport and the City.
