The Parish Council is pleased to announce that it has secured Charter Mark recognition for a second year following its recent independent annual surveillance visit. The independent assessor confirmed that the Parish Council continues to achieve the Charter Mark standard and has even improved its compliance against the government's criteria.
Stockport Council will shortly be undetaking a consultation with residents on the Offerton Estate in relation to proposals for a new traffic management scheme for our area. The Parish Council would like to encourage residents to return their consultation document when it arrives in order that your views are taken into account.

Stockport Council at its meeting on 10 November 2005 has agreed to the request
of the Parish Council to change the name of the parish to the Offerton Park Parish with effect from 1 April 2006. For further information, please click here.

The Returning Officer has received no notification from residents requesting that an election be held for the current vacancy on the Parish Council. Consequently, the Parish Council will fill the vacancy at its next meeting on 14 December 2005.

The November edition of the Parish Council's newsletter is now available on the Parish Council's website here. A copy will also be posted to all resident's of the Parish in the coming week. Residents may notice the the newsletter has been redesigned for this issue, and your comments on the makeover are welcome.

A vacancy has arisen in the Dial Park Ward of the Parish Council as a result of the resignation of a Parish Councillor. A notice has been posted in the Parish and on this website here. The Parish Council is planning to join in national celebrations of the bi-centenery of the Battle of Trafalgar with a bonfire event, Pure Radio Roadshow and competitions. The Parish Council is also promoting its own Battle of Trashfalgar in a fight against litter, flytipping and casual vandalism in the Parish. To view the full press relase, click here.
